My weekend with Her Majesty the Queen during the Diamond Jubilee in London.
Many people asked me recently if I was going to take any photographs at the Jubilee celebrations.
People shots at these sort of gatherings are always interesting but I felt they would be even more interesting if her Majesty was personally involved in them. I asked her and she agreed to take a walk with me around the South Bank before the Sunday pageant, specially as it would give her a chance to mingle with her subjects.

While I still haven’t seen any of the London Symphony Orchestra tube posters (tsk tsk as they are in almost 60 stations all over London town!) it was very cool to get the post and see this beauty waiting for me. The LSO 2012/2013 Concert Guide featuring a fold out poster of the photograph I took a few weeks ago. Always nice to see your work off the computer screen! For this shoot I was lucky enough to attend a concert in session in order to get what you see, and I also spent some time with composer Mark-Anthony Turnage for both this spread in the brochure as well as the back cover. A very talented man indeed.
