AOP Awards
Super pleased that my project "Flexible Working Spaces" won Silver in the Lifestyle section at the prestigious AOP awards.
This is a self generated project shot after the first lockdown, when we were all having to juggle work, home schooling, housework, no social contact, relationships, personal time… I wanted to tap on people’s ingenuity and how we all found ways to make it all work.
The people featured in the stories are all friends photographed in their houses. I based the shots on conversations I had with them during lockdown, and purposely set up the pics in a very balanced and calm way, how I think we saw everyday in our heads, in total contrast to the chaotic times we were all living through.
The pool
Sally fires some early morning emails while doing some lengths in the pool with her teenage daughter. The cat wants feeding.
The living room
Elle is brainstorming an international project with the help of some post-its. Colour coding helps.
The kitchen
Greg is on a Zoom call, Maxwell is on a Mario call. There is a relaxed atmosphere today at the office.
The garden
Andy has finally finished all the home chores and has found himself a nice quiet place to check his emails and relax before he is needed again. No one knows where he is.
